‘Heartbeat of Home’ is a new music and dance stage spectacular and we need you! We are looking for dancers- Irish, Latin (Tango, Salsa) Flamenco, Afro Cuban (Tap, Lyrical) and Street.

Go to www.heartbeatofhome.com/talentsearch, fill out your entry form and submit your video. Closing Date 26th April.

STEP 3. Share

Share with your friends on your favourite social network. The more VOTES you get the better your chances of dancing your way to the top.

Making the video

Your Entry does not need to be professionally recorded. We don’t mind you dancing in your garage or having your routine recorded on an iPhone (BUT REMEMBER the judges NEED a clear view of your routine so that they can judge your performance fairly).

Time Limits

Dance routine cannot exceed 90 seconds- this must include a 15 second introduction-tell us your name, where you are and a little bit about yourself.

The Finalists

The shortlisted candidates will be invited to audition. 10 candidates will be chosen by a public vote, the judges will select their final shortlist and their decision will be final.

Submission Guidelines

Entrants must be over 18 (as of the 1st July 2013). Must be available to travel to auditions. Get Recording! Talent Search closes 26th April.

Production

Created by the Producers and Director of Riverdance, Heartbeat of Home is a music and dance spectacular featuring the vibrant, dynamic components of traditional Irish, Latin and Afro-Cuban music and dance. The world-class cast of thirty-eight includes a ten-piece band creating a new and electrifying sound written by award-winning, Golden Globe nominated composer Brian Byrne.

The show employs high-definition, cutting edge 3D projection technology and has an engaging narrative structure. Produced by Moya Doherty, devised and directed by John McColgan with narrative and lyrics by award winning Irish writer Joseph O’Connor. Joseph comments: ‘when we marry the sexiness of salsa to the thunder of Irish dance, the lyricism of tango to the yearning of Sean-nós, what a night of storytelling we shall have’.

World-class Irish, Latin and Afro-Cuban dancers will be cast and, with choreography by David Bolger, the production will create a dreamworld of joyous, heart-stopping, high-energy music and dance.

The World Premiere of Heartbeat of Home will take place at The Bord Gáis Energy Theatre Dublin on Wednesday 2 October and will run for 21 performances only with special price previews from Wednesday 25 September. Heartbeat of Home is scheduled to have its Asian premiere in Beijing immediately after its run in Dublin and will commence a North American tour in January 2014.

In October 2012 we held a 40 minutes Workshop of Heartbeat of Home at the Smock Alley Theatre in Dublin. Our international network of promoters travelled from China, Australia, USA, Canada, Germany and the UK to attend. They were unanimous in their positive reaction to the presentation a sample of which can be seen here:
